Excuses Excuses :)

I'm pretty sure I've been so busy the last couple weeks to even think about sitting down and blogging so... that's my excuse, and now I'll attempt to summarize the recent little bit of my life:

Christmas was dandy, and then three days later I was on my way to California :) I was with some of my most favoritest (yes, that's incorrect english) people in the entire world and it was a serious party. Even the 14 hour bus ride wasn't as bad simply because I got to enjoy the company of my amazing friends. and maybe i also enjoyed it cause I sat next to him the whole time. Disneyland definitely became my happiest place on earth. Rides, Food, Friends, Talking, Laughing, Carefree... it was perfect.  Every second of those two days in Disneyland will now forever be a memory that I will hopefully always remember. It was everything I expected and more. yes, i spent nearly every moment with him, went on every ride with him, enjoyed all my time with him. But the fun didn't stop there. There was also a New Years dance, Hollywood, the beach and also some very enjoyed free time at the hotel. Finally at the end of the week came the Rose parade. It ended up not being as hard as anticipated... but that definitely does not mean it wasn't hard. I thought my arms were going to fall off! but I'm proud to say I made it, and now it will be something I can always look back on.  Although I must say that one of the best feelings ever was seeing the end of that 7 mile parade route. And now it's all over. Probably one of the best weeks of my life thus far. It was amazing, and it was quite the shock coming back to reality: back to school, coming back to the end of the semester, back to the stress. but that's life.

We ran into my family while in Disneyland...

she was in my room... party!

So that was my not so short summary of California. And since then it's just been school, dance, family, the normal. Today's Kolbein's birthday... just thought I'd throw that out there. He's turning six which means I'm sixteen in twelve days :) well have a great day, I'm going to go enjoy mine.

Random Spasms of Happiness

It's official:
Everyone thinks I'm crazy
I am crazy
and today it was a little more than normal.

Reason? maybe it was the relief of turning in an essay, or a teacher saying that the homework actually isn't due until next time, or feeling good after taking a test. maybe it was the sporatic hug, or even the fact that he walked a little faster in the hall just to come talk to me, there's a possibility it was simply because he sat by me at lunch, or maybe it was the doughnuts my wonderful friend Brittney brought to lunch. It could have also been that school was short, that I have no homework to do and therefore I finally get to enjoy my time and breathe.

well... life is good. in fact life is beautiful and amazing.

Him...

My life has become somewhat centered around a twisted fairy tale.

when he sits next to me my heart jumps,
when he talks to me I feel like I can fly,
when he smiles at me a small part of me explodes with happiness,
and when he wraps his warm arms around me its as if the whole world has stopped and become perfect for just that small moment.

At these moments I feel a spark of hope... hope that he likes me as much as I like him
and then
I see him walking next to her,
he tells me how much he wishes she was there,
I read a text between them

and suddenly that small fragile spec of hope is swept away in the many whirlwinds of emotion.

Honestly, I tell him everything, he's my best friend and he somehow always manages to put me in a better mood, he says all the right things when I need it, he feels the exact same way as I do about nearly everything...except for the fact that I secretly adore him. At times its almost as if he likes me too.
It would make my life so much easier if I could just get over him and let us be friends...

Do I give up? Or do I hold on?
I'm so confused...If you have any advice, it would be much appreciated

Love,
Blondie

It's the Sadest sorrows bringing the most glorious Joy

Without sadness we would have no joy,
without dislike, love wouldn't mean nearly as much.
It's that moment that you loose something that it becomes so dear to you,
When you're in the most despair you can finally recongnize what you have.

I'll tell you this:
Circumstances invade upon our life that happen to influence
our mood... whether that be good or bad,
and when we loose something or someone
we realize just how much they mean to us.
And no matter how bad it seems at the moment,
or how long that moment is,
we always come out stronger and with more appreciation.

Whether it's something as big as loosing your best friend or something somewhat smaller like not being able to go to dance for sometime.... You all mean so much to me and I don't know what I'd do without you.
Everytime I'm not with you I miss you,
but that just makes the times I see you that much more special.

Story Time!

Imagine this:
You are merrily walking down you're street coming home from the bus stop when suddenly you're friend stops their sentence midway and points towards the direction of another friends home. You all look in that direction to see a strange man beginnning to walk around the home...of course with curiosity you follow.  This creepy looking man continues to peer through windows and look at doors of this home. After making a full inspection of this home the suspicious man gets in his car with another and drives away. Now what to you conclude. Well, if you think like my bunch of besties we all decided that this man was devising a way to break into this household to kidnap all sorts of things....but after some disapponting investigation we discovered this strange creepy suspicious man was only a window washer counting and looking at the windows before he was to begin his job. Yeah...i know, what an anticlimatic story right?
Well moral of this story: don't judge people
oh and p.s. this is a true story that happened to me approximately 30 minutes ago :)
So... this strange adventure/ experience/ what-ever-you-want-to-call-it
made me start thinking about what people might judge me as. I wonder, as I walk down the hall with no makeup on with not the most beautifully done hair and with probably not the best put together outfit what do people judge me as? Do they think I'm nerdy, cute, weird, scary, crazy, etc.? Do they even notice me? Well I probably will never be able to know exactly what everyone thinks of me, but I do know what I think of everyone else. And what would happen if I stopped judging everyone? What if I thought of every single person as a beautiful unique child of God, would anything change? Well, I think I'll try it. I'm going to try not to judge... and you never know, maybe something exciting will come of it...which is why life is always an adventure, you never know what to expect :)

Adventure time is the best!  and now with the weekend it's gonna be a party...I'm pumped!
So today...my day didn't start out to great, but it just got better and better. I'm glad i didn't let silly little things ruin my whole day, because today has definitely been a great one.

AWalkToRemember

Have ya ever seen that movie? Yeah well it's OneOfMyFavorites.
"love is always patient...
love is always kind...
it is never jealous...
love is never boastful or conceited...
it is never rude or selfish...
it does not take offense...
and is not resentful"

it makes me cry almost everytime... i watched it the other day with Kenz,
I love it no matter how many times i watch it.

Oh, and I wonder, do love stories like this actually happen..
well i sure hope they do

Might I just add:

-Long walks with you're friend and lazy dog are still great
-Sunday walks are very nice
-Watching your little brother walk to his
first day of kindergarten is crazy
-Not having to walk to the bus stop 'cause
you're newly 16 year old best friend friend
can drive you is pleasant...and scary
- and walking through everyday of life is an adventure,
and hopefully enjoyable one

Have you ever....

Have you ever...
Slept in the grass, or laid in the sun
Just watched the sun set, as you thought of "that one"
Have you stayed up with friends all the night long,
or sat at the piano to make up a song.
Have you swam in the pool and danced in the rain
or baked some good brownies for your friends that's in pain.
Have you tried to get tan but end up so burned,
or tried to finish a packet but you aren't quite that learned
Have you eaten ice cream before a stake dance,
or partied with friends whenever the chance
Have you taken a walk with a friend that will listen,
or looked up at the stars as they light up and glisten.
Have you made every day matter,
made memories that count,
cause these days of our summer are soon to be out.
I'll never forget these past fun summer days,
Adventures and stories I'll remember always :)
