Through these Tears my Eyes are made Clear

I was starring into a world of darkness, distress, and grief.  It wasn't until one special girl came along and tapped on my shoulder that I turned around and saw the beautiful sunrise. I'd been facing the west and couldn't see, all the light in my life that was just behind me...sometimes it takes someone special to help us all see, the beauty that's surrounding you and me.

Each breathe is a gift, each day is a blessing, and so often we take these things for granted. Often times, I wallow in self-pity and think of all the reasons my life isn't the way I want it, but then I turned around and now I can see all the reasons that my life is as amazing as can be. For one, I have you in my life. I have friends that care about me, my family that is always there. I have the opportunity to go to school each day, to learn and to grow. I am able to feel pain and sorrow and because of that I have happiness and joy just the same.

Promise yourself that you will make the best out of life-

Say "I love you" often, and mean it each time it's said,

look for the good in others and don't judge the bad,

let others see your optimistic outlook,

let your eyes shine with love with each look that you give,

be the one people turn to when they might seem sad,

learn to listen to them and actually care,

learn to hold them close, and tight, and dear,

don't let a day pass by where you don't share a smile,

and be an example all the while.

Life isn't easy, and it never will be, but in the end it'll be worth all of the pain. If you ever need a friend, I'm always close by, and remember that sometimes its okay to cry.
