A hyperbole and a half

It was so cliche. so.
I was being the lovely little nerd I am; sitting in the library during lunch, doing some latin homework- I had finished everything, so I closed the text book, starting putting it in my backpack, looked up and saw him.
Why would he be in the library? I curiously watched as he sat on the couch. With a cool arrogance he took out his book and reclined; stretching his perfect body across the entire couch. He certainly didn't fit in, which made him all the more enticing to look at. I glanced at the book he was reading...all I could read was the large word "body" across the front... he seemed to sense my gaze, the book then lowered oh-so slightly and for one micro-second our eyes met. My reaction was quick, I reopened that latin text book and pretended to study. pretended. I frequently looked up to see him across the way...what a stalker I am. And the entire time I was having an internal battle:
---Do I get up, walk all the way across the library, and go talk
to him? No, that would be way too obvious.
---This is so stupid, I'm wasting my time. I should just stand up
and leave like I was going to do 10 minutes ago.
---But every part of me just wants to say hi.
---But he probably thinks that I'm some obnoxious- nerdy girl,
and I'd rather not make it any worse.
But...I went. I stood up, tripped around every table, ran into every person, made a complete fool of myself and then I simply walked over to the book-self that was near him. Wow. For literally 5 minutes I stood there starring at the book-self, my back to him.
*two deep breathes, turn around, casually walk by*
Him: "Hey Kirst, what are you up to?"
Me: "Just, you know, doing some homework and such..."
Him: "Do you come here everyday?"
Me: "Uhhhh, yeah." ---that sure helped my looking like a nerd situation---
Him: "Haha, well I just came in here 'cause all my friends have girlfriends and sometimes its a little         awkward..."
Me: "Yeah, I know how that is......except they all have boyfriends..."
Him: "Oh, well, if you ever need a lunch-time-study-buddy I'm here"
Me: "Uhhhh, thanks, well, I better go...go check out this book. Bye!"
I then realized I hadn't even grabbed a book to check out, so I frantically grabbed a random book and ran out to check it out.
Hormones are stupid and I'm a hot mess.

In my mind it went a little more like this^

P.S. Just wanted to give a little S/O to Hannah over at http://stay-gold-hannah.blogspot.de/.... go check out her blog! She's from Germany (but still blogs in english) and is just super sweet :) That's all; I'm done rambling.
