Curious Winds

      People fascinate me. I often find my mind wondering into a world where every one's thoughts can be heard, every one's intentions unobscured. Honestly, I hate this guessing game. Even my own feelings become unclear simply because theirs cannot be determined. But there are some genuine people out there in the world, and for that I am grateful. It is these ambitious, magnanimous, genuine people that I look up to and adore. It is you. Its beautiful people like you that make life worth while.
       I realize that my childhood is quickly slipping from my fingers. I might have even shed a tear or two when he held me real tight and said, "life's coming way too fast." But I look back and know that those memories are always there, they're not going anywhere. So now I look forward, there are simply so many things out there to do; people to meet, places to discover, songs to be written, photos to be taken, dances to dance, and more memories created. So although my future is still unclear, and people continually make it more so, I just can't wait to go out and be free....'cause now I'm seventeen.
     Now is when another chapter of my life begins, and I'm ready for whatever life throws at me. There are people who love me, others to support me, there's even people who are willing to make me baby chocolate cupcakes while dancing in the kitchen wearing only her panties. So really, I can't wait to find out what else life has in store for me.
 

   I'm tellin' ya, those cupcakes were pure heaven in a bite. Consistency of a cloud. True friend right there.
