My Little Memory Box
A couple miles in length and width, it's home to billions of memories. Memories including 5 year-old me walking main street completely absorbed in the happiest atmosphere of them all, me walking along side my very best friend simply in awe. Disneyland contains hundreds of love stories, but my favorite happens to be that of me and him. Disneyland generates and captures memories that cannot be found anywhere else. Each step I took reminded me of the ones I'd taken there before, but now another story had been added to the collection.
The cool drizzle kept the crowds away and so we ran, literally ran, from ride to ride, jumping in puddles along the way. We never waited long, and even when we did it wasn't too bad, being surrounded by your very best friends. You know how they take your picture on certain rides? Well we decided to coordinate our faces and eventually our entire pose to the point where strangers were laughing out loud and zooming up on our little group and taking pictures to forever store our faces in their smart phones. So in other words, I'm practically famous.
When the sky grew dark we stood on the pier and watched as water, fire, lights, and music filled the air. The World of Color. It took me back to the time when we stood there, me and him, on that exact same pier, his arms wrapped around me and I had never felt so lovely in my entire life. I will never forget those moments, for they are so magical and magnificent, something so unique nothing can ever compare.
The fireworks above the castle reflect in our glistening eyes. It's as if we are all 5 years-old again, cuddling with our newly-bought disney pillow pets... I never want to go back to reality. I will forever have a special place in my heart for this beautiful little place, it always reminds me that dreams can become reality, that happiness and love does really exist, that people are good, and that there is still hope in this world.
