(Please ignore the demonic eyes, the bare midriffs due to rising swimsuit tops, and the lovely wet hair)
//16 girls. One cabin. A whole lot of fun.
//These girls are my sisters. I love each one of them so much it's insane. There's a special kind of bond that forms when you're dancing together every morning while most people are still sleeping. It's not just a team, it's a family.
//The last Friday night of my Christmas Break, and I wouldn't have spent it any other way. We laughed, we cried, we screamed, we died (as a result of the game 'murderer in the dark') and it was just the most refreshing thing to be away from everything else and be able to focus on the friendships I cherish most. There was not one dull moment inside that cabin, and the hot tub outside the cabin was a party too. In fact, the hot tub was probably one of my favorite parts, over-looking thousands of valley lights in the center of the majestic mountains, it was a sight to see, and we were able to enjoy that view from the comfort of our little hot tub. That hot tub was a secret sanctuary filled with everyone's New Year's Eve stories, boy drama, and every other secret possible. We all need those people in our life that we can share our feeling with, that we can trust one-hundred percent, that we know will always be there--and how blessed I am to have not just one friend like that, but an entire drill team.
//Food, stories, games, talking, back-tickling, advice sharing, a tiny bit of sleeping, quite a bit of cuddling, and just a lot of bonding.
//Also, we had a near-death experience when driving back. Somehow my windshield was suddenly covered in mud, and my windshield wipers simply smeared it, and since I have a struggle car, the windshield wiper fluid just shot out the front of my car rather than onto to my windshield so I could not see a thing through my windshield...oh, and did I mention this is while driving through a canyon?! But no need to fear, we were able to stop at gas station and wash it off, but only after almost dying. But we are all home safe sound now, so, yeah :) Good times.
